Supervised parenting time is a service that allows a safe way for children to have contact with a parent or guardian when their family is experiencing separation, divorce, or conflict. A supervisor coordinates a parenting time schedule, then observes and documents parent-child interactions during parenting time.
On-site parenting time happens at the on-site facility in Noblesville called, A Family's Place. Learn more about A Family's Place HERE.
Off-site parenting time happens in the community at locations such as restaurants, parks, bowling alleys, libraries, or special events.
In-home parenting time happens in a parent's or family home. In-home parenting time can be scheduled by Court Order or parent/guardian agreement only and a supervisor must complete an in-home safety survey before agreeing to provide in-home supervised parenting time services.
Virtual parenting time is set up on Zoom. Virtual parenting time may be Court Ordered, can supplement in-person parenting time, or can be utilized when another parenting time service cannot take because of illness, vacation, or scheduling conflicts.
Intermittent and drop-in services allow for a combination of supervised and unsupervised parenting time. Intermittent supervision is generally scheduled for a portion of the entire parenting time and drop-in supervision is typically unannounced for a short duration. Either of these services can be provided in-person or virtually.
Supervision of exchanges takes place when a supervisor is present only during the transition of the children from one parent/guardian to the other. Supervised exchanges may take place on-site or off-site.
No, a Court Order is not needed. Many families become involved with supervised parenting time services because it is ordered by a judge. However, our service participation is voluntary and we will work with families as long as both parents/guardians agree to the terms of services.
Standard rates for supervised parenting time including coordination of the schedule, supervisor's observations, and a written report start at $60/hour. You can find the full fee schedule HERE.
The first step in starting supervised parenting time is to talk with a staff person at Neutral Ground Solutions. After the phone call, you will receive a Service Agreement to review and sign. You can find all of the steps to start services HERE, or CONTACT US now.
